A fantastically fragrant green tea, ripe strawberries and refreshing orange give this quality Chinese Sencha its wonderful mouth-watering aroma. The blend contains orange peels as well as pieces of freeze-dried wild mountain strawberries.
Interestingly Cat’s Foot or Mountain Everlasting, Antennaria dioica has been added, this herb comes from cool mountainous regions of northern Europe and Asia and has frequently been added to teas. It was once used in mixtures for the treatment of bronchitis as well as for the treatment of liver and gall bladder complaints, hepatitis and diarrhoea. A cautionary note an allergic reaction may occur in people sensitive to ragweed, chrysanthemums, marigolds and daisies as it comes from the same family. It may also increase blood pressure.
I brewed this tea at 80oC for three minutes and it produced a lovely bright cup that gave off a wonderful aroma.
