Personally I feel that some of the best coffee in the world comes from the Caribbean Islands. They seem to have just the right conditions to produce a superb cup of coffee.
The big five Caribbean producers are Jamaica, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Haiti and Cuba; any coffee from any of these five countries can be relied upon for a great drink.
Jamaican Blue Mountain is the most famous and is the obvious coffee of choice for James Bond, and is probably the most prestigious coffee in the world.
All of these countries beans respond well to roasting and can be happily medium or dark roasted and will produce a good flavour, personally I do like mine darker, giving wonderful strength.
