Helen and I both loved this tea; it tastes and smells delightful. The Mint and Eucalyptus give it a kick, the Goji and Sea Buckthorn berries give it a lovely acidic fruit feel. Ridiculously healthy drink. The Sideritis raeseri herb, also known as Ironwort, Shepherd’s Tea or Greek Mountain Tea has been drunk for years as a traditional panacea for aiding digestion, strengthening the immune system, suppressing colds and flu, working against allergies helping shortness of breath, sinus congestion even pain and mild anxiety. There may well be some basis in fact as significant research studies in the Netherlands and the Republic of Macedonia, where this tea is from, have confirmed many of the claims. This blend is made up with our Greek Mountain Tea, Fennel, Orange Peel, Lemongrass, Eucalyptus Leaves, Blackberry Leaves, Moringa Leaves, Lemon Peel, Peppermint, Goji Berries, Sea Buckthorn Berries, and Sunflower Petals. German studies have tentatively shown that Mountain Tea is the highest among 150 teas tested that aid in the prevention and maintenance of Alzheimer’s Disease. Google Alzheimer’s and Mountain Tea for more in-depth information.
It goes without saying that if you're pregnant (or are under the doc for anything) caution should be exercised with herbal decoctions.
