Limeflower Tea Cut Leaf Relaxing Tisane Aids Sleep Add To Children's Bath Water

£3.50

These are the flowers and leaf-like bracts of the well-known street tree Tilia or Lime.

It is a gentle relaxing remedy, soothing anxiety and tension and aiding sleep when taken at night. If added to bathwater babies can absorb it through their skin and is a successful way of calming tired, fractious babies.

It helps open up the circulation of blood to the skin, which encourages perspiration in cases of feverishness.

It will also reduce high blood pressure by reducing tension in the muscle layer of the blood vessels. An infusion can be taken three times daily. I brewed the flowers for five minutes at 100oC, obviously use this as a guideline and adjust for your personal preference.
