Not only smelling delightful but looking delightful as well.  Obviously a naturally caffeine free drink, the herbal parts are all recognised to aid towards a Good Digestion. Anise was first cultivated in Egypt over 4,000 years ago and was brought to Europe for its medicinal value. Anise is sweet and aromatic and is often used for the preparation of teas, tisanes, and alcoholic drinks, as well as many regional and ethnic confectioneries, such as British Aniseed Balls. The Romans often served spiced seed cakes using aniseed called ‘mustaceoe’ at the end of feasts as a digestive. This tradition of serving cakes at the end of festivities is the basis for the tradition of serving cake at weddings.

It goes without saying that if you're pregnant (or are under the doc for anything) caution should be exercised with herbal decoctions.
