Thailand Lemongrass Pure Healthy Infusion Drink Tea Anxiety Boosting Immune

£2.50

What an absolutely delightful cup of tea, Cymbopogon citratus or Lemongrass, is one of many related grasses with a lemon scent. Indeed Cymbopogon flexuosus, native to Thailand is used to produce an essential oil. C. citratus, is originally native to Malesia, a biogeographical region of Indonesia encompassing Indonesia, Malaysia, and the Philippines. It is now grown throughout Southeast Asia. In Thailand it is called Takhrai and is and essential ingredient in many dishes. In Brazilian folk medicine it’s consumed as a tea for anxiety, In the Caribbean it’s drunk to boost immunity, and in the Philippines, it is called Tanglad, and it’s drunk to boost the liver and kidneys. I really enjoyed drinking it on its own as a straight, but you will find it in many of our popular blends.

I brewed this fabulous tisane at 100oC for five minutes, naturally adjust for personal taste.

It goes without saying that if you're pregnant (or are under the doc for anything) caution should be exercised with herbal decoctions.
