£3.50

Chrysanthemum Flower Herbal Tea (or Júhuā Chá) is a refreshing tisane popular in most of China, Korea, Vietnam and Malaysia. Chrysanthemum Tea has been drunk in China since before 1000 CE, during the Song Dynasty. It was around this time 1044 CE that the formulas for different types of gunpowder were first printed, in the book Wujing Zongyao (Collection of the Most Important Military Techniques). In Chinese Medicine, Flower Teas are widely used and Chrysanthemum Tea has many reputed health benefits. It's often taken as an aid in recovery from flu and other fevers as well as helping with sore throats. In Korea, it is drunk to help people keep more alert and is often used as a pick-me-up, in a similar way to how Chamomile Flower Tea is often drunk in Europe. Both Chrysanthemum and Chamomile are from the same Asteraceae family of plants. With this Herbal Tisane, use 95oC water and infuse for four minutes, this tea can be re-infused many times, it really is a pleasant drink.

It goes without saying that if you're pregnant (or are under the doctor for anything) caution should be exercised with herbal decoctions.
