What a delightful tea, with a sublime aroma, although I am partial to marzipan. This seasonal black tea is blended from a wonderful mixture of quality Chinese and Ceylon Orange Pekoe leaves. Just under 90% of this blend is the fermented leaves, the remaining 11% is made up of almond pieces, cinnamon pieces, red rose petals, red rose buds and flavourings. The delightful flavour is a mixture of rum and marzipan; a real Christmas cake taste.
Brew for about four minutes at 100oC and this should prove to be ideal, however as with all tea drinking it is quite personal so feel free to brew slightly less or slightly more to suit your own tastes. I really enjoyed this tea, I do have a fondness for marzipan although that wasn’t the overwhelming taste, a very enjoyable cup of tea.
