Rooibos, Redbush or Massai Tea is prepared in the same way as one would a traditional tea using boiling water and steeping for 5 minutes, (although it can be ‘stewed’ for hours making a syrup to which hot water is then added). Rooibos is high in antioxidants, well known for reducing the effects of ageing.
It is caffeine free and low in tannin giving it a mild taste. In South Africa, it is traditionally recommended for its soothing effects on babies with colic.
Bourbon Vanilla is the queen amongst Vanilla and was originally used by Aztecs as a spice and medicine. Vanilla is frequently added to teas and tisanes and is obviously something you either love or hate, for those who love it enjoy this drink.
