This is a wonderfully scented tisane, the cherry smells so inviting. I am not a massive fan of Rooibos but I could drink this tea all day! It’s a tea that you can’t stop drinking: the first cup I made to take pictures of, I downed in three large gulps and immediately put the kettle on again to make a second infusion.
The Rooibos needs little introduction concerning it’s health giving properties but the Moringa Leaf is something still quite new to the tea drinking market, although it is recognised as being fantastically healthy. To recognise the plants value the Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations, featured Moringa oleifera as the Traditional Crop of the Month, September 2014.
Moringa oleifera, a plant found growing wild in the southern foothills of the Himalayas, is now cultivated world-wide primarily in poor growing areas due to its hardiness and resistance to drought. The leaves are packed full of antioxidants, vitamins and trace elements and minerals.
The Rooibos used in this blend is ranked ‘Super Grade’, the needles are long and even and are repeatedly sieved making this a grade above ‘Choice Grade’. As well as top quality Moringa leaves, whole as well as cut pieces of sour black cherries and cranberries are included.
As with all Rooibos Tisanes infuse for at least five minutes at a temperature of 100o C, this is a guideline and feel free to adjust to suit personal taste.
