Kenya Safari Broken Pekoe Number 1 A Proper Traditional Tea Can Be Taken With Milk
£2.50
is on back order
This Kenya Safari Broken Pekoe 1 forms about 12–14% of the country’s total production for the year. It is the largest size of all the fanning grades and elsewhere would be sold as a C.T.C. (cut, torn, curled). The liquor produced is slightly light in body but this allows a greater flavour to show through.
Most tea grown in Kenya is sold directly through auctions. This is done to maintain high quality as the government strictly controls the tea auctions. As such, there are very few Estate Teas to appear from East Africa.
This tea has an almost Assam taste and a similar quality to it, having a golden liquor and a full and fruity flavour. Perfect as a morning tea with a drop of cold milk.
