Huang Ya Yellow Tips Loose Leaf Yellow Tea Traditional Chinese Imperial Tribute Tea
This truly remarkable Yellow Tea comes from the Simao District under the jurisdiction of Pu'er Prefecture, Yunnan Province. The production process involved in making a Yellow Tea is quite complicated and time consuming, first pan-fry the freshly plucked leaves quickly to stop fermentation, then whilst the warm leaves still contain some moisture, carefully wrap them in special cloths to allow them to dry naturally and gently. This process is repeated many times until the leaves reach perfect maturity, a skilled process trusted to very few people. This process produces a sweet spiciness not found in other Green or White teas. First produced in the seventeenth century, in the time of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, its quality marked it as an Imperial Tribute tea. Yellow Tea, like White Tea, is renowned for their health-giving properties, possibly even surpassing them.
