Earl Grey Decaffeinated Sencha Healthy Green Tea with Bergamot Oil

£5.00

  • Charles Grey, 2nd Earl Grey, was Prime Minister for four years between 1830 and 1834.
  • The first known published reference to an ‘Earl Grey’ tea are advertisements by Charlton & Co. of Jermyn Street, in the 1880’s.
  • Original Earl Grey tea would have been made with a Chinese black tea as opposed to our Chinese green tea.
  • Needless to say decaffeination did not exist at that time.
  • This lovely and unusual brew has orange and lemon peel included as well as natural bergamot flavouring.
  • I brewed it for two minutes at 80oC. and did this for both infusions, I suspect you could get another couple of infusions out of this but for me two was enough, I liked it, but admit to not being a massive Earl Grey fan.
  • You will receive 55 grams of this Decaffeinated Earl Grey tea for £5.00, this will allow you to make 28 cups of tea. Two gram per cup, this tea can be re-infused making over 55 cups of tea. This works out at between eighteen pence per cup and nine pence per cup when re-infused.
  • At Gently Stirred every order is gift wrapped so if you're buying for a number of different people just add that information at checkout.
