The Cherideo Purbat tea estate is situated on the undulating hills found at the foot of the Arakan Yoma mountain range. The range runs over 600 miles from Assam to Myanmar. The estate is owned by the Darjeeling Organic Tea Estates Company, they also own amongst many other estates the Happy Valley Estate, one of our most popular Darjeeling teas. They took over this estate in 2015 and in keeping with their organic and bio dynamic system of farming started to conserve the water bodies and help enhance the micro climate of the region. This strong full-bodied tea is wonderful, to quote Helen “An almost floral aroma but with a true Assam taste, really nice.”
