Assam Margherita GFBOP Loose Leaf Black Tea A Strong Full-bodied Traditional Tea

I am always looking for a new Assam to offer, mainly because Assam teas are Helen’s favourites. This plantation was founded in 1884 and is situated in the northern district of Tinsukia, in Assam. The Estate named after the local town which takes its name from a 19th century Italian Queen, as a tribute the Italian Chief Rail Engineer Chevalier Paganini, who built the local railway. The Estate has 608 hectares of tea plants and produces 1665 tonnes annually. The Estate belongs to the Ethical Tea Partnership (ETP) and proudly proclaims on a big sign next to the main entrance, “No Child Labour”! The ETP endeavours to create a thriving tea industry that is socially just and environmentally sustainable through ethical partnerships. The tea has a lovely spicy aroma and very attractive leaves with plenty of golden tips. It makes a strong bodied cup has produces a flavour that lingers on the tongue.
