Grown by farmers from small holdings from the Copán Region of western Honduras, close to the Guatemalan border. The fertile valley of Copán originally contained the capital city, of the major Classic period of the Maya civilisation from the 5th to 9th Centuries AD. Copán now is a city of about 3,000 and it has a small airport, at the peak of its power in the Late Classic period, the Kingdom of Copán had a population of at least 20,000 and covered an area of over 250 square kilometres.
This medium dark roast coffee has medium strength with a very fruity taste, a lively cuppa that is going to be appreciated any time of the day. The entire crop, a Micro-lot Project 121 was sold to a single importer and weighed in at half a tonne.
