Darjeeling Margaret's Hope 1st Flush FTGFOP Grade 1 Champagne Muscatel

It is odd that we rarely have and are rarely offered Margaret’s Hope Estate tea and yet it is one of the best known and well liked of the Darjeeling Gardens. We occasionally get second Flush Margaret’s Hope Darjeeling tea an altogether stronger cup than the First Flush. Margaret’s Hope Tea Garden is found in the Kurseong North Valley 6800 feet above sea level and is planted with heirloom Camellia sinensis bushes that normally require quite a long growing season; unfortunately, this tends to produce quite limited quantities, which are snapped up rapidly. If Darjeeling’s are ‘The Champagne’s of Tea’, Margaret’s Hope must be the Cristal Prestige Cuvée. I brewed at 90^oC for two and a half minutes, delightful and refreshing.
