As the song says, "There's an awful lot of coffee in Brazil", and it is the world's largest producer. Most of the production is highly mechanised and covers vast areas.
Colombia is the world's most famous coffee growing country, and is the 2nd biggest producer of coffee, most of it of quite high quality.
Peru is another good producer of quality coffee, a lot of it grown without the use of artificial fertilisers or pesticides.
Venezuela and Ecuador also produce good quality coffee which occasionally find their way onto the International market.
