Chinese Orange Pekoe Decaffeinated Black Loose Leaf Tea High Quality Caffeine Free

£2.50

This large leafed black tea comes from China although it is decaffeinated in Germany. Looking like a Japanese Hoji Cha or Pan-fried tea, it does not resemble a typical Chinese tea. There are quite a few twigs in this tea and I even found and a small seed case. A gentle tea with a woody aromatic flavour, quite distinctive and very pleasant, I would be happy to drink this tea on a regular basis, you can’t tell it’s been decaffeinated. An interesting afternoon tea that does well without milk, obviously Helen had her cup with.

The Tea is decaffeinated using High Pressure Extraction with ‘Overcritical’ CO2; this protects from oxidation and means that there is no unpleasant aftertaste. A slight loss of raw material occurs but a better flavour arises as a result of this process.
