Sencha Wakame Seaweed Mate Lemongrass Whole Leaf Green Tea Beautifully Scented

New for 2023, this is a wonderfully healthy green tea. Wakame, Undaria pinnatifida, is a brown seaweed famed for its ‘Wellness’ benefits. This tea blend is made up with 78% healthy Sencha leaves, 10% Brazilian Mate, 6% Wakame seaweed, plus Lemongrass and natural lemon flavouring. The aroma is fantastic and will definitely prove to be popular at the shows. Studies at Hokkaido University found a compound in Wakame known as Fucoxanthin found to help burn fatty tissue. In Oriental medicine it is used for blood purification, reproductive organs, and menstrual regularity. Wakame seaweed became very popular in the 1970’s as part of a macrobiotic diet. Mate is widely grown throughout South America especially Brazil and is high in caffeine, so this is definitely and energy boosting cuppa as well as being healthy, it is also often recommended for weight loss.

I brewed this tea at 80^oC for three minutes and it produced a lovely bright cup that gave off a wonderful aroma.
