Grown by Omar Rodriguez on his 10-hectare farm, Fito Lopez. The farm is maintained by his wife and his children as well as others from the Cooperative. This coffee comes from the Celaque mountain, the highest peak in Honduras. The Cooperativa Cafetalera Capucas Limitada was founded in 1999 by Omar Rodriguez, since 2004 he is the general manager. Caring deeply about the local community he started the first rural university in Honduras as well as being a founding member of the Capucas Soccer Academy. Harvested between December and February the cherries are washed then dried in a solar dryer before being trucked to the port of Puerto Cortes.
