A new Fruit Infusion for the Christmas Season. Made up entirely of dried apple pieces, Hibiscus flowers, Rose hip peel, cinnamon rods, star anise, pieces of ginger, pink peppercorns, orange flavouring, freeze-dried pieces of strawberries and cloves. The strawberries, cinnamon and star anise make the whole ensemble Christmassy somehow. Just a small aside, star anise is apparently used in the production of Sambuca, Pastis and Absinthe, all I’m sure very festive. A slice of orange or seasonal kumquat would make a lovely addition. Obviously, you could add many different alcoholic spirits to this Infusion, combining healthy drink with Seasonal indulgence, after all it’s only Christmas once a year. It would make a very refreshing cold drink if made with cold water left overnight in the fridge. Otherwise boiling water for 5 to 10 minutes.
